Louisiana Ragin' Cajun senior right-hander Christina Hamilton took a second MRI on her right shoulder, which showed no tear.

Recently, Hamilton was shut down for approximately three weeks by an orthopedic doctor, after the doctor diagnosed a small tear in the rotator cuff.

After another MRI by another orthopedic surgeon, he concluded there was no tear, and classified the injury as "thrower's shoulder".

Hamilton garnered second-team All-American accolades in 2014, after going 29-4 with a 1.56 ERA.

Louisiana, who qualified for the Women's College World Series last year, are already will be without the services two other pitchers, Victoria Brown and Jordan Wallace.

Brown recently had surgery to remove bone spurs, and is out indefinitely, while Wallace has been shut down by an orthopedic doctor for three weeks due to shoulder inflammation.

The Cajuns, who are ranked ninth in the USA Today/NFCA Top 25 preseason poll, open their 2015 regular season schedule on February 6.
