A former member of the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns has found a new softball home.

Tipler, an all-state and all-conference performer for Gulf Coast State College in 2017, hit a.442 with 10 home runs and 71 RBI in her collegiate debut while there.

A native of Hoover, Ala., and Spain Park High School product, Tipler transferred to UL last season, collecting 10 hits in 36 at-bats (.278), to go along with two doubles and four runs batted in.

Tipler, who will have two seasons of eligibility remaining at Campbell, hit a .419 with 10 home runs and 45 RBI's in her senior season of high school softball at Spain Park High School in Alabama.

Sometimes, a transfer is good for both parties, and that may very well be the case here.

The Cajuns, who have a load of talented players on the roster, can have give those players more of a look in the fall and the early spring, while Tipler will likely get more of an opportunity to play at her new school in her final two seasons.

We wish Kynadi the best of luck at Campbell.

The Cajuns who went 41-16 last season, open their fall schedule on Saturday, hosting Chipola (Florida) JC at noon at Lamson Park.
