The new NFL rule on extra points will present challenges to both kickers and coaches alike.

The ball will be spotted at the 15 yard line for a kicking PAT, which basically makes it a 32 or 33 yard field goal.  No longer will that point after touchdown be basically automatic.

There will be times where coaches elect to go for a two point conversion rather than try the point, especially on grass surfaces and especially in inclimate weather.

While it will add another dimension, more strategy and more excitement to the game, not everyone is excited about the change.  Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers doesn't particularly like it as it pertains to player safety.
