A former LSU baseball standout was traded prior to the Major League Baseball non-waiver trade deadline on Tuesday.

The Baltimore Orioles traded Kevin Gausman to the Atlanta Braves along with relief pitcher Darren O'Day, in exchange for four minor leaguers.

The Orioles currently have the fewest wins in baseball, with 32, while the Braves are right in the thick of things, only one-half game behind the Philadelphia Phillies in the National League East.

The 27-year old Gausman is 5-8 with a 4.43 ERA. this season.

In parts of six MLB seasons, Gausman has a career record of 39-51, to go along with a 4.22 ERA.
