The LSU Tigers led by 5 points early in the second half against the #1 ranked Kentucky Wildcats, but couldn't hold onto the lead. As a result, they fell to Kentucky today in the quarterfinals of the SEC tournament by the score of 60-51.

Trent Johnson's squad was extremely resilient, and fought tooth and nail with the best team in the land. They were 17 point underdogs, but were still within striking distance at the 2:00 mark of the second half.

Senior Storm Warren led the Tigers in scoring with 14. Player of the year candidate Anthony Davis was awesome for Kentucky, scoring 12 points and pulling down 14 rebounds. His defense was imposing, as he finished with 6 blocks.

LSU will now await word on whether or not they'll be invited to the NIT tournament.
