Josh Hamilton is a Texas Ranger no longer. According to espn sources, Hamilton has agreed to a 5 year deal with the Los Angeles Angels worth $125 million.

Hamilton must complete a physical with the Angels before the deal can be consummated. The five-time All-Star and the 2010 American League MVP joins a team that has spent plenty of money the last two offseasons. Last year, the Angels signed Albert Pujols for $240 million over 10 years, and inked C.J. Wilson to a 5 year $77.5 million deal.

Hamilton's average salary of $25 million is the second largest in major league baseball, equaling Ryan Howard's deal with the Phillies, and is only surpassed by Alex Rodriguez's deal ($27.5 million per year) with the Yankees.
