The LSU Tigers have added a College Football Hall of Fame coach to their staff.

Former USC and Los Angeles Rams head coach John Robinson was named a senior consultant to LSU head coach Ed Orgeron on Monday.

Inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2009, Robinson is best known for his two stints at USC, (1976-1982 & 1993-1997), guiding the Trojans to 8 bowl games, and a #1 finish in the 1978 Coaches' Poll.

Now 83-years old, Robinson also was the head coach at UNLV, from 1999-2004.

Robinson also served as head coach of the NFL's Los Angeles Rams for 9 seasons, guiding the Rams to 6 playoff berths, including two appearances in the NFC Championship Game (1985 & 1989).

In 18 years as a college coach; Robinson accumulated an overall record of 132-77-4, while going 75-68 in 9 professional seasons.
