The Mississippi St. Bulldogs are now looking for their third head football coach over the last four years.

The school dismissed Joe Moorhead on Friday, after two years on the job.

The 46-year old Moorhead was fired after the Bulldogs finished the 2019 season at 6-7 following a 38-28 loss to Louisville in the Music City Bowl.

Mississippi St. went 8-5 in 2018, the first under Moorhead.

A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Moorehead replaced former Miss. St. head coach Dan Mullen, who left following the 2017 season to take the head coaching position at Florida.

Moorhead was previously a head coach at Fordham, from 2012-2015, guiding the Rams to an overall record of 38-13.

In between his stints at Fordham and Mississippi St., Moorhead served as the offensive coordinator at Penn St.

Over six seasons as a head coach, Moorhead has accumulated an overall record of 52-25.
