Louisiana Ragin' Cajun big man JaKeenan Gant has been named to the Lefty Driesell Defensive All-American team for the second year in a row, making him a finalist for the Lefty Drisell Award again this season.

The award is presented to the best defensive player in college basketball each year.

Gant led Louisiana and the Sun Belt Conference in rebounds (8.7) and blocks (2.6).

As the only player in D1 college basketball to average 20 points with eight rebounds and 2.6 blocks this season, Gant is a fitting choice for the Lefty Diresell Award.
