Offensive lineman Jahri Evans, who was recently released by the New Orleans Saints, still has intentions of playing in the NFL in 2016.

Evans' agent, Jerrold Colton, recently told reporters that the Saints offered Evans a reduced salary, after doing the same thing a year ago.

Colton said Evans wasn't willing to rework his contract again this offseason.

By releasing Evans, the Saints saved $3.1 million.

A fourth-round pick by the Saints in the 2006 NFL Draft, Evans played in, and started, 153 games over his 10-year tenure with the franchise, while being named to the Pro Bowl 6 times.
