Iowa wrestler sticks to his principles
In Iowa, wrestling is king.
No, not the stuff that you see on television. Real wrestling.
It's bigger than football in the state of Iowa and the chance to wrestle for a championship is every high schooler's dream.
But Joel Northrup had a dilemma. A devoutly religious young man, he feels that wrestling against a girl just wasn't something he could bring himself to do. And he decided that, rather than be forced to improperly touch a girl, he would default his chance to advance in the state tournament.
