Chris Paul had a brace back on his surgically repaired knee at Friday's practice. It's the first time Paul has worn the brace in a little over a month.

Coach Monty Williams did not seem to think the brace was a big deal.

"I don’t think its any different than me wearing this whistle today,’’ Williams explained.

With Paul back from his concussion, the Hornets also announced that they did not extend a contract to point guard Jerel McNeal. He did not see any action in five games with the team after signing a 10 day contract. He is expected to return to Rio Grande Valley Vipers in the NBA Development League.

New Orleans finishes off their 5 game homestand tomorrow night at the Hive as they host the Boston Celtics. The Hornets won in Boston back on December 31rst. It is unclear whether or not Paul will wear the knee brace during the game.

In his three games back from a concussion, Paul has averaged 28.7 points, 11.3 assists, 5.7 rebounds and five steals in 40 minutes. He claimed one reason he's been more aggresive is not having a knee brace on.
