With only 9 healthy players in uniform Monday night, the New Orleans Hornets defeated the Utah Jazz 86-80. Starting Center Emeka Okafor missed the game with a sore left knee. Chris Kaman (pictured left) started in his place and had his best game as a Hornet, finishing with 27 points, 13 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block.

Point guard Greivis Vasquez chipped in with a double-double of 12 points and 10 assists. Shooting guard Marco Belinelli and power forward Gustavo Ayon both scored 13.

The win was nice for the home fans at the Hive, who haven't been witness to many victories this season. It was only the third Hornet win in their last 26 outings.

New Orleans will now prepare for their longest road trip of the season. Starting Wednesday night in Milwaukee with a game against the Bucks, the Hornets will begin a stretch of 6 straight road games, including 5 in 8 days.
