Roger Mason Jr. (pictured) came off the bench to lead the New Orleans Hornets to a comeback victory over the Houston Rockets 88-79. The win marks the third straight for New Orleans, each one over a Southwest divisional foe.

Mason Jr. came off the bench late in the third quarter with his team trailing by 9. He stayed on the floor for the rest of the game, scoring 15 of his 17 in the 4th quarter.

"We have a young team," said 32 year old Mason, the oldest player on the roster. "There's going to be ups and downs....my teammates found me. They got me great looks tonight. We kept getting stops."

Offensively, New Orleans needed scoring to make up for Eric Gordon and Ryan Anderson's off nights offensively. Gordon was 2-12 for 5 points. Anderson was 0-7 with 0 points.

Mason Jr. was matched in the scoring department (17 points) by Greivis Vasquez and Jason Smith. Both Vasquez and Smith had double-doubles with 11 and 10 rebounds respectively. Robin Lopez scored 14.

New Orleans will try to win their 4th in a row Friday night at the Hive. Tip-off versus the Minnesota Timberwolves is set for 7:00.
