Harper Named NFC Player Of The Week

 New Orleans Saints strong safety Roman Harper was named NFC Defensive Player of the Week today. Harper was outstanding against the rival Atlanta Falcons, finishing with sixteen tackles. His great all around play helped the Saints defeat the Falcons 26-23 in overtime.

Harper was also credited with a sack, one pass defensed, two passes altered, and two tackles for losses.

Harper was honored with the same award after the Saints week two win over the Chicago Bears.

The two-time pro bowler leads in the Saints defense in both tackles (69) and sacks (6.5) this season. Roman's 6.5 sacks is the most in the NFL by a defensive back.
