The San Francisco Giants won the National League wild card game on Wednesday evening, defeating the Pittsburgh Pirates, 8-0, at PNC Park in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

San Francisco got on the board first, in a big way, in the top half of the fourth inning, when Brandon Crawford hit the first grand slam home run by a shortstop in MLB postseason history:

But the story of the night for the Giants was 25-year old left-hander Madison Bumgarner, who pitched a complete game four-hit shutout, while striking out ten batters, to send his team to the National League Divisional Series, where they will take on the Washington Nationals:

With the win, the Giants extended their postseason win streak to eight games, while winning their seventh-consecutive game with their season on the line, a streak that dates back to their run to a World Series title in 2012.
