UL junior outfielder Seth Harrison

 

The San Francisco Giants selected Louisiana Ragin' Cajun outfielder Seth Harrison in the seventh round, with pick number 208, on the second day of the Major League Baseball First Year Player Draft on Friday.

A native of Cypress, Texas, Harrison is hitting a .317 as a junior in 2014, along with nine home runs, 63 runs batted in, and 15 stolen bases.

A second team All-Sun Belt Conference selection, Harrison also has 16 doubles, seven triples, and 52 runs scored, heading into this weekend's NCAA Super Regional series against the Ole Miss Rebels.

The 6-foot, 200-pound Harrison also has pitched 3.2 inning for Louisiana this season, compiling an ERA. of 2.46.

In 2013, his first as a Cajun, Harrison hit a .338, to go along with nine homers, 45 RBI's, and ten stolen bases.
