For the second straight year, a Sun Belt basketball player is leaving early for the NBA.

Georgia State's R. J. Hunter, the two time Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year has announced he will forego his senior season to enter the NBA draft.

Hunter was the leading scorer in Division I among juniors, averaging 19.7 points per game.  He led the Panthers to the Sun Belt Conference tournament championship and hit the winning basket in Georgia State's first round NCAA game against Baylor.

He is projected to be a mid to late first round pick.

Louisiana's Elfrid Payton went pro after his junior season and was selected 10th in the first round of the NBA draft.
