Tommylee Lewis will forever be attached to "the play". And now he may never have a chance for redemption.

Someone call Daniel Tosh!

Not that the referees not doing their job and calling a penalty was his fault at all. But could you imagine...just the "what if" Tommylee Lewis now has to watch the Saints go and win it all because he was signed to the Detroit Lions as a free agent. Poor guy.

Lewis will most likely play in the slot position for the Lions, although he does have experience with being split outside, as well as kick off and punt returns.

The Saints signed Lewis as an undrafted free agent out of Northern Illinois. He spent his first three years in the NFL with the Saints. In 34 career games, Lewis has caught 20 passes for 252 yards and two touchdowns. In the return portion of his playing he was averaging 9.3 yards on 36 punt returns and 22.0 yards on 24 kickoff returns.
