A former New Orleans Saints player has returned to the NFL.

The New York Giants re-signed linebacker Nate Stupar on Tuesday.

The 31-year old Stupar, who played in all 16 games for the Giants last season, played for the Saints for two seasons (2016-2017), totaling 97 tackles over 20 games, including six starts.

The 6-foot-2, 240-pound Stupar signed a three-year deal with the Saints in 2016, valued at $5 million dollars, after spending time with the San Francisco 49ers (2012-2013), Jacksonville Jaguars (2013), and the Atlanta Falcons (2014-2015).

Stupar, who played his college football at Penn St., had the best season of his career in 2016, compiling 39 tackles, to go along with one sack and one interception in his first season with the Saints.

Last season in New York, Stupar compiled 14 tackles.
