Louisiana Ragin' Cajun alum Elijah McGuire has signed with the Kansas City Chiefs practice squad.

McGuire, who spent his first two seasons with the New York Jets, signed with the Cleveland Browns earlier this season, but was eventually waived.

If McGuire can earn a spot on the Chiefs active roster, his skill set could flourish.

The former Sun Belt Conference Offensive Player of the Year reeled in 36 receptions for 370 yards in his two seasons with New York.

Kansas City's passing attack is one of the most potent in the league, utilizing all skill position players.

Prior to being drafted in the 6th round by the Jets in 2017, McGuire had a formal interview with the Chiefs, so a past history of interest may have led to today's signing.
