Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun football team racked up 440 rushing yards in a 77-6 time shortened victory over Texas Southern on Saturday night.

Today, a Ragin' Cajun running back alum may get the national spotlight against his former team on Monday Night Football.

With an injury to running back Dontrell Hilliard, the Cleveland Browns signed former Ragin' Cajun star Elijah McGuire off their practice squad and onto the 53 man roster, according to NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport.

McGuire spent his first two NFL seasons with the Jets, who selected him in the 6th round of the 2017 draft.

Despite solid production, the former Sun Belt Conference Offensive Player of the Year was released by New York before the start of the season.

Cleveland signed him to their practice squad after his release, and now he's been elevated to the active roster.
