Former LSU quarterback Brandon Harris is heading to Texas to join Tom Herman's football team as a member of the support staff, according to a report from Brooks Kupena of The Advocate.

Harris, who started for the Tigers in 2015, is excited for the opportunity.

Harris lost his starting role with LSU a few games into the 2016 season when he was replaced by Danny Etling.

He transferred to North Carolina for his senior season, appearing in 6 games as a backup.

Texas hosts LSU in week 2 of the upcoming college football season.
