A former pitching great for the LSU Tigers has put an end to his baseball career.

Jared Poche, the all-time leader in career victories at LSU, has announced his retirement from professional baseball.

A native of Lutcher, Louisiana, Poche pitched four seasons for the Tigers (2014-2017), finishing with a 39-13 record, to go along with a 3.02 ERA.

A left-hander, Poche's 39 career wins, and 70 appearances, are both school records.

A ninth round selection by the Oakland A’s in the 2017 MLB Draft, Poche was most recently a member of the Stockton Ports, the club’s Class A Advanced California League.
