Frank Wilson, a former football assistant coach for the LSU Tigers was fired by the UTSA Roadrunners on Sunday, after four years as the school's head coach.

A native of New Orleans, and a former collegiate player at Nicholls St., Wilson spent six seasons at LSU (2010-2015), serving as running backs coach and recruiting coordinator.

The 46-year Wilson compiled an overall record of 19-29 over four seasons at UTSA, including a 4-8 record this season.

Prior to his tenure at LSU, Wilson served as an assistant at Ole Miss (2005-2007), Southern Miss (2008), and Tennessee (2009).

Wilson began his coaching career as a high school coach at Edna Karr (1997-1999), prior to becoming the head coach at O.P. Walker (2000-2003).
