Former Louisiana Ragin' Cajun Ryan Leonards has been promoted from Class A Kannapolis to AA Birmingham by the Chicago White Sox.

Leonards, a part of the Cajun squad that was ranked #1 in the country in 2014, hit .272 (77-283) with 16 doubles, a triple, two home runs, 26 RBI, 12 stolen bases, and 37 runs scored in 83 games with Kannapolis in 2015.

Leonards was a model of consistency for the Cajuns during his four year career, batting .292 as a freshman and following that campaign with averages of .327, .328 and .328.  He amassed 225 hits in his career.

Leonards, who prepped at Notre Dame High School in Crowley, was a 21st round draft pick of the White Sox in the 2014 MLB Draft.
