Why was I only "today years old" when I found out about a Flintstones theme park? Well, it really doesn't matter now because the place will soon become extinct like Dino.

Flintstones Bedrock City, located north of Williams, Arizona, has officially been sold. The stone-age village had opened in 1972 and included a restaurant, gift shop and RV park.

Ok, so maybe it wasn't a real theme park, but there was a Fred Flintstone stand-up and an authentic-looking pedal-with-your-feet car at the "park's" entrance. That would have been enough for me!

The park about 30 miles south of the Grand Canyon will now become Raptor Ranch: Birds of Prey park, a showcase for falconry.

Great, who wants to go to the desert and look at birds? Pterodactyls, different story.

The new owner of the property, Ron Brown, said they purchased everything for less than the $2 million listing price, but declined to give a specific amount. Brown says most of the Flintstones structures will be going.

Bedrock City owner Linda Speckels had been trying to sell the property since 2015.

You're the real MVP Linda!
