This weekend, the first of the month of March, will be the final opportunity for Sun Belt Conference softball schools to prepare for the league schedule, which begins next weekend.

All of the schools will be action multiple times, and all in tournament play.

The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns, who entered the week with a 14-2 overall mark, will be in Norman, Oklahoma to take part in the Oklahoma Courtyard Marriott Tournament.

Louisiana will face Oregon St. twice and Oklahoma twice, as they prepare for their conference-opening series, March 8-11, in San Marcos, Texas against the Texas St. Bobcats.

Coastal Carolina, who entered the week off to a very nice 12-2 start, will play host to a field of five schools, in the Chanticleer Showdown.

Coastal Carolina will face Radford, Austin Peay, UNLV (twice), and Jacksonville (twice).

Appalachian St., who is off to a surprising 8-3 start, will take part in the Purple/Gold Challenge in Nashville, Tennessee.

The Mountaineers will face Lipscomb, Eastern Illinois, and Miami University (twice) over the weekend.

Troy, off to a solid 12-5 start, will be in Clearwater, Florida this weekend, to take part in the USF Invitational.

The Trojans will meet Furman, Binghamton, South Carolina, Incarnate Word, and Penn in the event.

Georgia Southern, who entered the week with an overall record of 9-4, will be in Madeira Beach, Florida this weekend, to take part in the Madeira Beach Spring Invitational.

The Eagles are scheduled to square off with Florida A&M, FIU, Boston College, St. John's, and Siena.

South Alabama, off to an 8-6 beginning this season, will play four games in the Diamond Citrus Classic in Kissimmee, Florida this weekend.

The Jaguars will battle Purdue, Savannah St., and Bradley (twice).

UTA, who also entered the week with an 8-6 mark, will be in Lubbock, Texas this weekend, where they will play Texas Tech and North Texas, each twice, in the Texas Tech Tournament.

Texas St., who stands at 7-7 so far this season, will take part in the Houston Red & White Showcase in Houston, Texas this weekend.

The Bobcats are scheduled to play DePaul, Texas Southern, and Houston (twice) in the event.

Georgia St., off to a disappointing 1-13 start, will play host to Western Carolina (twice), Fordham (twice), and Hostra in the I-75 Challenge.

ULM, who entered the week with a 1-14 mark, will be in Conway, Arkansas, to take part in the Central Arkansas Tournament.

The Warhawks, who played Missouri St. on Thursday, is scheduled to take on Southeast Missouri St. on Friday and both Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Coppin St. on Saturday.
