Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns women's basketball team has begun a search for a new head coach after Errol Rogers resigned from the same position earlier today. In five seasons, Rogers compiled a record of 38-113.

Louisiana's athletic department has hired the national service firm Carr Sports Consulting LLC.  The firm will identify potential candidates for the vacant coaching position.

Ragin' Cajun athletic director Scott Farmer released the following statement regarding Rogers' resignation: "I would like to thank Errol for his five years of dedication to the university and his commitment to the student-athletes. Although we did not have the success on the court that we would have liked, I felt that we had success in other areas and Errol always represented the university in a positive manner.”
