After the second best rushing night of his career, Louisiana running back Elijah McGuire has been named the Offensive Player of the Week by the Sun Belt Conference.

McGuire, a senior from Houma, averaged nearly ten yards per carry, gaining 223 yards on 23 carries.  He had over 100 yards in the fourth quarter alone, including a 68 yard touchdown run which gave the Cajuns a 28-17 lead.

McGuire leads the Sun Belt in rushing, averaging 136 yards per game.

Georgia State's Bobby Baker won the Defensive Player award, while Troy's Ryan Key was the Special Teams POW.
