The struggling boxing world is sacrificing its moral compass by making Floyd Mayweather Jr. the ugly face of their sport. Don't help them do it.

The NO MORE campaign against domestic violence aims at having everyone, from celebrities to everyday citizens, stand up against the long-standing societal norms that kept the issue under wraps for a long time. The NFL was under heavy fire after video footage of Ray Rice dragging his significant other from an elevator emerged, but it eventually resulted in changes in their policing of the issue. How come boxing is allowed to conveniently side step the exact same issue when it comes to their star with an abuse problem?

Most people approach the coming Mayweather-Pacquiao fight in this fashion, "I won't pay for the fight myself, but I'll probably watch it somewhere that's showing it."

Congratulations on not shelling out bucks, but go a step farther. Don't tweet about the fight. Don't share video clips of the finish, if it ends up being any good at all. Most importantly, don't let Floyd Mayweather drag an entire professional sport into the moral gutter. It will be a drop in the bucket of income and buzz surrounding the fight, but a worthy drop nonetheless. Opposition has to start somewhere.

The Nevada State Athletic Commission approved Mayweather's boxing license, knowing very well his history of abuse. They effectively approved to pile more money onto Mayweather's embarrassment of riches. You don't have to do the same. Watching Manny Pacquaio knock him out would be satisfying for a lot of people, but be honest. That's not going to happen.

In reality, the fight will most likely disappoint. With so much hype, this overdue match up has no chance of living up to what it could have been a couple years ago, which is what casual fans expect in their minds.

Mayweather will probably win, and he'll dance around in the final round and gloat all the way until the judges rule him the victor. Then he will ride off into the sunset, or more likely to the Ferrari dealership, as an undefeated champion. Does that sit right with you?

Final thought: Nobody will stop you from watching the fight. Watching it won't necessarily make you a bad person. You'll be one of millions of people tuning in...but as long as Mayweather is the face of boxing, the women he abused will be forced to look at it. Help make it go away.
