 Cincinnati Bengals owner Mike Brown and quarterback Carlson Palmer have been at an impasse for several months. Palmer demanded that Brown trade him, threatening to retire if his request was not met.

Brown claims Palmer, whose current contract runs through 2014, made a commitment to the team, and needs to follow through on it. The imperious Bengals owner refuses to grant Palmer his wish. But is Brown's stance on Palmer hurting his club?
