After holding out on the Dallas Cowboys, Dez Bryant got the $70 million dollar deal he wanted.

The giant wad of cash will be spread out over five years, but Dez will get $45 million of it guaranteed. Owners and general managers hate hold outs, but sometimes athletes have to go to uncomfortable lengths to get the money they feel is deserved. Say what you want about Bryant's antics on the field and his attitude, but there is no denying that the Cowboys would have suffered mightily without him in their offense.

To spice things up a bit, Bryant's deal looked almost identical to the one Demaryius Thomas received from the Denver Broncos.

It's still not as large as the six-year, $101 million deal Justin Houston banked from the Kansas City Chiefs. Wide receivers don't clear as much of a check as pass rushers, so Bryant should go to sleep tonight with a smile on his face.

Why not smile? It's hard to frown knowing you just made $45 million of guarenteed money. Everybody wins, except the rest of the NFC. Dez gets his dollar signs and Jerry Jones keeps his most dangerous weapon.
