A former Sun Belt Conference pitching standout has been named an assistant coach for a school in a neighboring state to Louisiana.

Devin Lowe, the former Devin Brown, who played four seasons for South Alabama, from 2014-2018, was recently named an assistant coach at Southern Miss.

A graduate of Theodore High School in Mobile, Alabama, Lowe was tabbed a three-time All-Sun Belt First Team selection, a two-time First-Team All-Sun Belt Conference selection and an NFCA All-South Region Second Team selection during her time at South Alabama.

The 20th overall selection in the 2018 NPF Draft by the Cleveland Comets, holds the career records at South Alabama for career shutouts and strikeouts.

Lowe joins newly named Southern Miss head coach Brian Levin's inaugural staff.
