Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose will undergo surgery on his right knee, due to a torn meniscus.

No expected return date has been set for Rose, who missed all but ten games last season, after having his right meniscus repaired.

With this recent meniscus tear, Rose can either have it repaired again, which has a longer recovery process, or removed, which would get him back quicker, but would also likely be more of a problem down the line.

The 26-year old Rose has had numerous injuries since being drafted by the Bulls as the top overall pick in the 2008 NBA Draft, suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee is 2011, before suffering the meniscus tear in his right knee last season.

A three-time All-Star, and the 2011 NBA Most Valuable Player, Rose played only 39 games in the 2011-2012 season, before missing all of 2012-2013, and all but ten games last season, due to his injuries.

This season, Rose is averaging 18.4 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 5.0 assists-per-game.
