According to Daniel Kaplan of the Sports Business Journal, the league is now planning for how pro football would be played with an eight-game season that could start in late November, based on a possible settlement in October that would allow for a free-agency period and training camp.

I guess an 8 game season is better than no football at all, but let's hope it doesn't come to this. How would an 8 game season even work? Would each team play all their division games and two in conference games?

Let's all keep praying for a full, uninterrupted, 16 game regular season. Football fans would prefer to hear less about contingency plans, and more about an agreement between the NFLPA and NFL Owners on a new CBA.
