With Charlie Strong headed to Texas, the job at Louisville is now open.

And, it's an attractive job.

The Cardinals are headed to the Atlantic Coast Conference next year, putting them in one of the top five football leagues in America.

And, believe it or not, Bobby Petrino's name is being mentioned.

Petrino is a former head coach of the Cardinals who left to become the coach of the Atlanta Falcons.  He's now the coach of Western Kentucky, going 8-4 in his first season with the Hilltoppers.

There are two reasons why Petrino's name is being mentioned:  One, he has the support of former players and, two, Petrino hasn't said he isn't interested.

So far, there's been no formal request from Louisville to speak with Petrino.
