Football is an emotional, physical game, but there's no excuse for what took place Saturday night at Hale Stadium when Southeast Missouri was hosting Tennessee State.

Tennessee State strength coach T.J. Greenstone is in charge of keeping players on the sideline from inching onto the field during the game. It's a common practice across college football, as one coach makes sure to keep players and other coaches from taking a few steps onto the field.

Players and coaches often take a step or two on the field to scream at a teammate, someone on the other team, or a ref.

Saturday night, Greenstone was keeping players back, but then was blindsided with a sucker-punch from senior defensive end Latrelle Lee.

Lee was expelled from Tennessee State today, according to TSU athletics director Teresa Phillips who told The Tennessean.
