Clemson Closing the Gap on Alabama

Clemson has had a pair of impressive wins in the last two weeks and the voters are taking notice.

The Tigers, after beating Auburn and Louisville on consecutive Saturdays, garnered 15 first place votes in the AP poll and a half dozen in the Amway Coaches Poll this week, taking the #2 spot in both polls.

Alabama continues to hold on to the top spot.

Oklahoma, Penn State and USC hold down the #3, 4 and 5 spots.

LSU somehow stayed in the top 25 after their embarrassing loss to Mississippi State.  The Tigers are #25 in the AP poll and #23 in the Amway poll.  The Bulldogs are #17 in the AP poll and #19 in the Coaches' poll.
