Andrew Beckwith threw his first complete game of the season Sunday night in Omaha.

It couldn't have come at a better time.

Coastal Carolina's ace stymied the #1 national seed all night long as the Chanticleers defeated Florida 2-1 at the College World Series.

Beckwith ran his record to 13-1 on the season as Florida continually pounded the ball on the ground and the Chanticleer's defense came through time and time again as Coastal won their 50th game of the season.

Zach Remillard drove in both runs for the Chants with a double and triple off Florida ace Logan Shore.  Remillard's third inning double marked the use of instant replay in the CWS as his ball hit down the right field line with runners at first and second and two outs.  The ball was ruled foul, but was overturned on replay.

Coastal will not meet TCU, who got a three run homer in the ninth inning from freshman DH Luken Baker to beat conference rival Texas Tech 5-3.  The Red Raiders, the #5 national seed, had taken a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the eighth.  But a walk and single in the ninth set the stage for Baker, who hammered a 1-0 inside pitch just inside the foul pole in left for the game winner.

Florida and Texas Tech will meet in an elimination game Tuesday afternoon.  Coastal Carolina and TCU have a winner's bracket date Tuesday night.
