If you are the parent of a student-athlete playing in the College Football Playoff, you'll be able to see your son play.

And you won't have to pay for it.

The CFP today announced they will pay a $2,500 stipend for families of student-athletes who are playing in the national semifinals and final.  That stipend is to cover travel expenses, including hotels and meals.

Last year the CFP put up $500,000 to assist families from Oregon and Ohio State.  This announcement will extend those benefits to the four semi-finalists.

The stipend will be provided for up to 100 student-athletes.
