Celtics President Danny Ainge Suffers Mild Heart Attack

Boston Celtics President of Basketball Operations Danny Ainge suffered a mild heart attack Tuesday evening in Milwaukee, according to multiple reports.

Fortunately, Ainge is expected to make a full recovery.

The Celtics fell to the Bucks in game 2 of their Eastern Conference Playoff series Tuesday in Milwaukee, and returned to Boston yesterday.

Ainge remained in Milwaukee under medical supervision, but is expected to return to Boston soon.

Ainge won 2 NBA championships as a player with the Celtics in the 80s, earning a spot on the East All-Star team in 1988.

He won another championship as an executive with Boston in 2008.

"Been in constant communication with his family," Celtics coach Brad Stevens said to ESPN on Thursday. "He's resting well and feels better. Obviously, always scary, but he's got a good support network. Obviously, expect a full recovery and he's feeling good. So that's all positive. Certainly scary."

Ainge, 60, reportedly suffered a minor heart attack 10 years ago as well.
