Remember the guy who smashed baseballs into smithereens at The Tigue? Let's check in on Caleb Adams' life in pro ball.

Adams joins Austin Robichaux with the Burlington Bees, which is a full A unit. Pitchers are still wary of the slugger, as 44 free bases already sit in his stats due to walks. Rightfully so though, as Adams' home run tally is up to eight. He only has one dinger to his credit in Burlington, but adjustments take a bit of time. Have mercy on whoever leaves him a chest-high fastball anywhere near the plate.

With hits in seven of his last ten games, Adams finds himself productively sitting in the five hole in the Bees' lineup. The strikeout numbers (113 strikeouts in 99 games) are a concern, but his average has improved since getting called up [full stats here].

With the sheer power Adams contains, managers will have a watchful eye on his progression. Patience at the plate will come with time against arms of increasing caliber. If he can learn a way to keep the strikeouts down and harness his power in a monitored fashion, the ascension up the minor league ranks could rapidly increase.

Oh yeah, we forget to mention that he can still flash a little leather. Remember this snag, #Cajun Nation?

The next episode of #CatchUpWithTheCajuns is a big one. Imagine a bushy beard with the most intensity imaginable. In the meantime, go see how Aut is doing.
