Carlos Correa’s Homer Helps Astros Win Epic Game 2 – VIDEO

Carlos Correa was a hero for the Houston Astros in Game 2 of the American League Championship Series on Sunday evening at Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas.

Correa's walk-off home run in the bottom half of the 11th inning helped lift Houston to a 3-2 win over the New York Yankees, evening up the best-of-7 game series at 1-1 in the process.

Correa had another big hit in the contest, driving home a run with an RBI double in the bottom half fo the second inning.

The Astros' shortstop also came up big in the field, throwing out DJ LeMahieu at the plate on an infield single off the bat of Brett Gardner, to keep the game tied at the time.

The only runs for New York came in the top half of the 4th inning, courtesy of a two-run home run by Aaron Judge.

George Springer tied things in the bottom half of the 5th inning with a solo homer.

The score stayed 2-2 until the bottom half of the 11th inning when Correa ended the game with his big blast off of J.A. Happ.

Justin Verlander was strong for the Astros, twirling 6.2 innings, allowing two runs while striking out 7 batters.

The series now shifts to New York for Game 3-5.

Game 3 is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon at 3:08 (central).
