Dutch actress Carice van Houten first came to our attentions in Paul Verhoeven’s excoriating ‘Black Book,’ where she played a young Jewish woman who becomes a spy for the Resistance during World War II and compromises her morality in a number of ways. It was the most profitable Dutch film ever made and launched her to international stardom, working opposite Tom Cruise in ‘Valkyrie’ and Jude Law in ‘Repo Men.’

2012 is going to be a great year for sweet Carice – not only is she in ‘Intruders,’ which opens today, but she’s also been cast as the sorceress Melisandre on HBO’s smash hit ‘Game of Thrones,’ which starts its second season on Sunday. We’d like her to read our script called ‘Game of Bones.’ It’s a parody that involves many, many swords. You know what we’re talking about.

She has no plans to abandon the Netherlands for Hollywood, so we should take what we can get of her when we can get it.
