Carencro’s Joe Charles Commits To UL Basketball

The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns received a commitment from a standout prep basketball player from the Acadiana recently.

Carencro forward Joseph Charles, Jr. issued a verbal pledge to Louisiana on Thursday.

The 6-foot-8 Charles, who helped lead Carencro to the Class 4A state title as a freshman in 2018, will be entering his junior year in the fall, and is scheduled to graduate in 2021.

UL first offered Charles back in June

Charles was a first-team District 4-4A selection for Carencro last year.
