It's another five game week for the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns.

And this one is more crucial than the last.

The Cajuns, who went 5-0 this past week to run their winning streak to eight straight, start the week Tuesday night at Constellation Field in Sugar Land, TX as they take on the Texas Longhorns.

Game time is at 6:30 pm.  The game can be heard on ESPN 1420 with pre game beginning at 6:00 pm.

The Cajuns (26-14-1) will send right hander Evan Guillory (2-2, 4.05 ERA) to the mound to face Longhorns' freshman right hander Blair Henley (3-3, 4.07).  Texas (28-15) has own five straight after sweeping New Orleans in a non conference series last weekend.

Both teams have relied on their pitching and defense.  Texas is ranked eighth in the nation in ERA (2.85), sixth in hits allowed per nine innings (7.15), 17th in WHIP (1.20) and fifth in defense (.983).  The Cajuns, meanwhile, are 13th in ERA (3.09), second in hits allowed per nine innings (6.59) seventh in WHIP (1.15) and 20th in defense (.979).  The Cajuns also are tied for first in the nation with shutouts (8) and are third in strikeouts per nine innings (10.2).

The Cajuns will return home Wednesday night to take on McNeese (28-11) before hitting in the road for the second consecutive weekend, as they travel to Arlington to take on UTA (23-17, 13-5 Sun Belt) in a showdown for first place in the Sun Belt West Division.
