Cajuns Set Another Season Ticket Record

For the fourth straight year, a season ticket record has been set for the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns football team.

The school announced today that 12, 276 season tickets have been sold with the season opener still three weeks away.  That breaks the old mark of 11,833 set last year.

The Cajuns have a six home game slate this year, with the first two games expected to be near sellouts.  Southern University will be in for the opener and the last meeting between the two schools drew a Cajun Field record 41,357 fans.  The following week, the Cajuns host Louisiana Tech in the first meeting between the former football rivals since 2004.

Cajun Field has undergone a seating expansion, increasing seating capacity to nearly 37.000.

Season tickets will continue to be sold up until the time of the beginning of the season.
