The busiest two week stretch of the season begins tonight as the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns entertain the Houston Cougars at M. L. "Tigue" Moore Field at Russo Park.

Game time is scheduled for 6:00 pm.  The game will be heard on ESPN1420 beginning at 5:30.

The Cajuns (11-6, 2-1 Sun Belt) will send redshirt freshman Jack Burk (0-2, 3.46) to the mound against the Cougars, who are ranked #20 in the Perect Game poll this week.  Houston (13-5) will counter with LHP Trey Cumbie (2-0, 1.33).  The Cougars have won five straight after sweeping Alabama A&M over the weekend.

Houston is led offensively by third baseman Jake Scheiner, who was named a Collegiate Baseball National Player of the Week after an amazing week in which he went 13-16 at the plate with six homers and 15 rbi.  He slugged 2.063 for the week.

The Cajuns will be at home against Tulane on Wednesday, also beginning at 6:00 pm.  Neither team has announced a starting pitcher.  Tulane hosts McNeese State tonight.

The schedule stays busy as the Cajuns travel to Troy this weekend to open a five game road trip.  Louisiana will play at McNeese next Tuesday and Southeastern Louisiana Wednesday before wrapping up ten games in 13 days when they entertain arch rival South Alabama March 31-April 2.
