Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun men’s basketball team returns to the hardwood on Wednesday evening, when coach Bob Marlin’s squad travels to Athens, Georgia to take on the Georgia Bulldogs in non-conference action.

The game will mark the opening game of a short two-game road trip for Louisiana, who returns to the Cajundome on Tuesday, December 20, when they host Pepperdine.

Tipoff time is scheduled for 5 pm.

The Cajuns, who beat Louisiana Tech, 91-83, on Saturday night, has won 8-straight, and are 8-2 on the young season.

Louisiana is outscoring the opposition, 90.1/72.6, and outshooting them, 50%/45%, while also holding down a 40.9/30.0 rebound advantage.

The Cajuns are paced by junior guard Frank Bartley, who is averaging 19.1 points and 3.6 rebounds, and junior forward Bryce Washington, who is averaging 15.3 points, to go along with 11.2 rebounds.

Georgia lost to Marquette, 89-79, back on December 4, to fall to 5-3 on the season.

The Bulldogs are outscoring opponents, 73.1/69.5, while outshooting them, 45%/41%, and holding down a 38.0/34.1 rebounding edge.

Georgia is led by senior forward Yante Maten, who is averaging 20.9 points and 8.3 rebounds-per-game, and junior guard J.J. Frazier, who is at 14.4 and 3.6, respectively.,
